Restaurant Grim is on Ryesgade 65A in the south western end of Østerbro, a stone's throw from the Sortedamssøen lake and close to the Nørrebro border. We cook New Nordic food over embers, with vegetables and meat from the chef's own farm in Vendsyssel. Open Wednesday to Saturday for dinner, and Sunday for brunch.
How to find us
Address Ryesgade 65A, 2100 Copenhagen Ø. From Trianglen it is about a ten minute walk, and there is both a bus and the M3 metro to Trianglen St. The Sortedamssøen lake is around 120 metres away, Rigshospitalet around 300 metres, Sankt Hans Torv around 750 metres and Fælledparken around 850 metres. Nørreport and Østerport stations are both around one kilometre away. There are bike racks on the street, and a few public parking spaces in the neighbourhood after 5pm.
The tasting menu
Lidt Grim, four courses, 525 kr. Meget Grim, seven courses, 895 kr., including snacks and petit fours. Snacks can be added to the four courses for 90 kr. Wine pairing with three glasses 400 kr. or five glasses 625 kr., non alcoholic 330 kr. and 550 kr. The menu changes with the season and with what the farm can deliver.
Sunday brunch in Østerbro
Every Sunday from 11am to 3pm. Dishes are from 50 to 150 kr., and you put together your own brunch.
The farm behind the food
Chef and owner Casper Nielsen grew up on the farm Østergaard in Vendsyssel, where his parents Carsten and Annette run Graverens Grøntsager. Two hectares, around 45 different vegetables, free range pigs, lamb and Plymouth Rock chickens.
